TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE
We sincerely appreciate your interest in our Great Danes. We will answer serious inquiries indicating that you have read and agreed to the following conditions posted on this page.
Please read the text below...Thank you
The information below is posted SOLELY for informative purposes AND to avoid unnecessary inquiries:
The price of a puppy all depends on the perfection of the color
GOOD HEALTH is inherited! Good general health is usually genetic!
However bad things can always happen!!!!
All puppies are AKC registered, micro chipped, have a health certificate and come with a guarantee against
crippling genetic defects. If there is any crippling genetic defect determined in the puppy after the sale (1 year, from day of birth) we will replace the puppy with a puppy of a future litter (within the same value) there will be NO monetary refund. There has to be a written signed agreement in order to replace the puppy.
We will NOT reimburse any Veterinarian Fees. We require proof by a licensed Veterinarian who is not the owner, friend or relative of the dogs owner. When we replace a puppy due to a crippling genetic defect the cost for Shipping is upon the new Owner, out of state ($400.--)
If a puppy is sold or given away to someone after the purchase we have NO obligation to the new owner at all.
We breed good puppies and try to do our best. Most of our Great Danes are imported from Europe (Germany) as fully grown adults and therefore are hip certified in compliance with West European standards as is the entire breeding line in the attached pedigree. We strongly believe in the West European breeding standards and bloodlines which are proven to be amongst the best in the world. Testing & screenings are wonderful...FOR THAT DAY! i.e., a Dane with an "excellent" cardiac screening today, could die of a heart attack tomorrow. Unfortunately we don't have a crystal ball and cannot guarantee against conditions and circumstances beyond our control such as cancer and other acquired health defects (this has become more of an environmental issue, as it has in humans). We try to do our best, however there is NO guarantee that everything will be a 100% perfect.
WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:
Length of life, height, weight, HOD, eye color (sometimes 2 different colors in merle and harlequins are possible), nose color, weakness of the 3. eyelid, umbilical cord hernia, allergies, mange, loose poop (always a problem with new owers, who just don't listen to feeding instructions and switch the food too many times and then blame the breeder!!!)
All Danes need to lay on soft bedding. Hygromas are a result of too much pressure on the bones.
Human or Animal, we are all sitting in the same boat and not everything is always perfect!!!!!!
We can try to do our best but bad things can always happen when it comes to health issues. We take full responsability for our dogs up to 1 year of age from date of birth.
We will provide Feeding Instructions in writing, however it is out of our control once puppies leave our property how your new family member will be fed and taken care of. If a puppy is getting too much table food, human food in general or if the dog food is being changed too often, this can cause loose poop. A puppy is like a new born baby, it will take some time when it comes to the adjustment of dog food. Our puppies have a health certificate, the stool is being tested as well and they leave our property in good health.
We wish we could determine how long our Animals will live but as with anything else in life circumstances beyond our control will contribute to the longevity of our dogs. There is nothing perfect in this life, not in humans and not in animals, some die early and some have a nice wonderful long life. Any X-large dog can suffer from Bloat or Heart attack at any age. It happens rarely but it happens and the new owner has to be aware of it. Breeding health tested adults, does not mean that the puppies born will be perfect. Look at your own children or your friends and neighbors and you will see that some turn out not perfect or are sick (physically or mentally) Once you clearly understand that anything living will encounter problems at one point, you are good to go. If you think that you paid now money for an animal (no matter what kind) and it has to be perfect and good, stop right here and do not even think about getting any animal.
The puppy can be returned at any time (up to the age of 3 month we will take the puppy back to our home, after that time we will try to find a good home for the dog), there will be NO refund on the purchase price. If there is shipping involved it will be upon the Buyer. As soon as the puppy has been returned it can not be reclaimed. The original Buyer is giving up all the rights on the puppy. We are not a store where you can purchase a puppy and return the puppy after a few days because you do not like the color of the body, eyes or nose. If a puppy has been paid in full and will not get picked up / shipped due to the fact that the buyer decided that he does not want the puppy anymore, there will be no refund.
As a new owner, you take on the responsability to care for the do. Make sure you know, that your are getting a X-Large dog breed. If for any reason the dog has to be placed, it is the responsability of the Owner to find a new home. We are not a kennel, therefore we are not taking any dog back and we are definately not willing to deal with a dog who has been completely destroid by his previous owner.
We love and care for our Dogs above and beyond. They are happy, well rounded, playful when they leave our premises. Danes generally have very laid back and loving disposition and as NEW OWNER it is your responsibility to maintain, nurture and build upon what nature has provided. Without consistent training/discipline and love starting at a very early age (8 weeks), a NEW OWNER can create a "MONSTER". Only in very rare cases individual circumstances can contribute to "bad" temperaments. Just as a doctor delivers your new baby; the breeder presents you with your new puppy. Just as a parent can ruin a child, your puppies TEMPERAMENT will become strictly & solely the reflection of YOUR training and upbringing. We always suggest to watch few Ceasar911 shows - very helpful ......, as proof by Ceasar Milan, most owners are the problem and not the dog.
It is always very easy to blame the Breeder for anything and everything which is happening, even the slightest problem, the Breeder is getting blamed for it. If perfection would exist, it would be in humans and in animals and I would be more than happy to provide perfection.
We breed good dogs, however there is always a possibility of a problem. If people get sick or are not perfect, it is being accepted but if an animal gets sick .... wow now it becomes a problem and slandering, bad mouthing, threatening starts.
We do NOT accept any bad behavior of dogs and humans!!!!
Considering how many humans are being born every day sick (mentally and/or physically), crippled or none functional, we have a better rate on dogs being born and healthy. As I said before and to make this very clear!!!!! Nothing is ever perfect and we all can live a long healthy life or die early due to sickness or anything beyond our control.
99% of the biggest issue are some owners and there is always a bad apple in the bunch. There is a puppy purchase contract, READ IT and follow it !!!!
I am breeding Great Danes for over 20 years and I am very proud that there are hardly any issues with the dogs. However sometimes things go wrong and we have to deal with it as per contract. By now I thought I have seen or heard it all but there are always people which come up with bigger trash than the person before.
Besides breeding Great Danes, we bred German Shepherds & Giant Schnauzers, working dogs for police, security and private owners.
I appreciate and thank all the nice people I met in the last 20+ years, which is the majority! People which come back and get another puppy. I am always happy to see that our dogs find good homes and live a good life. - THANK YOU
